Terms of Service

Effective August 7, 2026

These terms govern use of the English Mutam website, student and teacher apps, personal lessons, learning activities, scheduling tools, reminders, and optional calendar synchronization.

Accounts and acceptable use

Users must provide accurate account information, keep sign-in credentials secure, and use the service only for lawful educational purposes. Users may not attempt to disrupt the service, access another person's account or data, bypass permissions, or copy or distribute protected material without authorization.

Lessons and scheduling

Lesson availability, booking credits, rescheduling, cancellations, and any applicable notice rules are determined inside the English Mutam app and by the arrangements made with the teacher. Users should review booking details in the app.

Google Calendar and reminders

Google Calendar synchronization and app reminders are optional conveniences. English Mutam remains the authoritative place to book, move, or cancel a lesson. Editing or deleting a mirrored Google event does not change the booked lesson. Users remain responsible for checking the app and attending lessons on time.

Educational service

English Mutam provides instruction and practice tools, but individual learning outcomes vary. Automated suggestions and AI-supported features may contain mistakes and should be reviewed in context with teacher guidance. The service does not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

Content and ownership

The website, lesson materials, software, branding, and original content are owned by or licensed to English Mutam. Users retain rights in content they submit and permit English Mutam to process that content as needed to provide the service and teacher feedback.

Availability and changes

Reasonable efforts are made to keep the service available and secure. Features may be changed, suspended, or discontinued, and uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Access may be limited or ended when these terms are violated or when needed to protect users or the service.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, English Mutam is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, third-party service interruptions, missed notifications, or calendar-provider failures. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

Use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
